SLASH / Pro Q-Bond freestyle 027

Pop. Spin.
Own the air.

Designed for

YO FREESTYLERS. FORGET THE TOYS: The SLASH is built for technical, ambitious riders who demand explosive pop, lightning-fast rotations and minimum swing weight.

From riders chasing their first doubles to professionals throwing triples and hunting PWA and EFPT podiums, this is the seamless, full Q-Bond weapon for those who refuse to stop progressing. Raw power, instant response and absolute control.

Its character

Forget traditional construction. This is FULL Q-BOND. SEAMLESS. No unnecessary weight. Just explosive power, instant reflex and absolute control. Stitched freestyle sails belong to another era. The SLASH is built as one seamless structure, allowing the entire sail to react with unmatched speed and precision. No seams interrupting the flex. No stitching creating weak points. No energy wasted. The result is up to 30% less swing weight than a traditional stitched sail. Every rotation becomes faster. Every movement feels sharper. Every impulse is converted into height, speed and control. Proven across the world’s most demanding freestyle spots, the SLASH has collected PWA and EFPT titles while redefining what a competition sail can feel like. Feather-light in the hands. Pure freestyle destruction.

Why only
Q-Bond?

Freestyle leaves no space for compromise.

Freestyle riders are among the most technical riders in windsurfing. They feel every gram, every delay and every change in tension. Once we developed the full Q-Bond SLASH, keeping a stitched version no longer made sense. The performance difference was too clear. Freestyle demands the best, so we build only the best.

Why the Slash is exclusively Q-Bond
Reason Why the Slash is exclusively Q-Bond
Construction The panels are ultrasonically bonded into one seamless, reactive structure. No stitching, no overlapping material and no unnecessary layers.
Swing weight Up to 30% less swing weight compared with traditional stitched construction. The difference is felt through every duck, rotation and mid-air correction.
Pop and release Energy loads instantly and releases explosively. More height, faster reactions and no delay between rider input and sail response.
Rotations Less moving mass makes every rotation faster, tighter and more controlled. For doubles, triples and technical combinations, every gram matters.
Airborne neutrality The lighter structure disappears in the hands once airborne, allowing the rider to rotate freely and prepare earlier for the landing.
Shape stability The seamless structure keeps the designed profile locked in place. No stitched seams interrupting tension. No distortion. The same precise response on both tacks.
Durability No stitch holes and no stitched seam lines. The load is distributed through a clean, continuous structure built for the impact and repetition of modern freestyle.
Technical riders World Champions, podium riders and progressive freestylers do not want a compromise version. They demand the lightest, fastest and most precise machine available.
Our decision A stitched SLASH would still be good. Good is no longer enough. We will not build a reduced version of our ultimate freestyle machine.

03 / Profile & power

Instant power.
Instant release.

The power side original SLASH profile diagram

The ‘power side’

Leeward side: deep, power curve-draft.

The deepest part of the profile, located on the leeward side. Measured as depth (how “fat” the sail is) and position (how far forward or back it sits). Draft generates the power/lift of the sail. The SLASH carries a completely flat profile, built to slice the air with zero resistance. Only a minimal hint of shape sits on the lower batten, no tension needed, just enough to lock in stability. The real magic comes from the precise mast rotation and the Dacron mast panel: they create depth only when it matters, unleashing raw acceleration and explosive pop for going massive in the air.

The fast side original SLASH profile diagram

The ‘fast side’

Windward side: flat, low-pressure side.

The overall aerodynamic shape of the sail, seen in cross-section. It includes the windward side (flatter) and the leeward side (curved). When we say “the sail profile”, we mean the general curve the sailcloth and battens create.

The SLASH carries a dead-flat draft and zero drag, pure precision. It slices through the wind like a blade, lightning-fast and feather-light. Always exactly where you want it, the sail explodes forward to set you up for the next move, ready to drop jaws and own the crowd.

04 / What’s new

20 new details.
Seamless freestyle evolved.

Full Q-Bond construction gave the SLASH its seamless advantage. The 20 refinements take it further by removing unnecessary material, optimizing reinforcement placement and cleaning the load path through the entire sail. The result is even less swing weight, faster pumping and a sharper release through every rotation. The structure remains locked while the sail disappears in your hands

LUKA Explains SLASH 027
Original Luka Stomp SLASH rider quotation image

The Slash feels unbelievably light in freestyle moves. The sail disappears when I rotate, then gives me the power immediately when I need it again. The combination of light weight, fast reflex and easy handling makes everything feel quicker.

Lars M., Brouwersdam, Netherlands

For freestyle I want a sail that is compact, fast to rotate and neutral during the move. The Slash delivers exactly that. It feels very light, reacts instantly and gives me confidence to push harder because the sail never feels slow or heavy.

Tomás G., Tarifa, Spain

The first thing you notice with the Slash is the weight in your hands. It feels incredibly responsive and the rotation is very fast. For freestyle manoeuvres that require quick handling and instant power recovery, it makes a real difference.

Maxime L., Leucate, France

DEVELOPED AND DESIGNED BY

The Point-7 Black Team, where pro sailors meet next-level design. This squad dominates the PWA circuit in Slalom, Waves, and Freestyle with sails that crush the competition. Their commitment, skill, and relentless drive for perfection have made them the kings of sail tech and pure performance. Riding with Point-7 isn’t just about gear, it’s about riding with champions.

Legends like Marco Vinante, Yentel Caers, Jacopo Testa, Taty Frans, and Amado Vrieswijk have repped the brand, proving the power in every sail.

RIGGING

Rigging the Slash is all about simplicity and precision. A smooth pull to match the luff curve, setting the profile just how you need it for your freestyle game. Adjust the outhaul to boost power or dial in control, just make sure you’re keeping that tension right. Tighten the bottom and top battens for that perfect edge, but keep the rest loose enough to remove wrinkles, don’t overdo it. Get it right, and it’s all about the perfect ride.

10 / Materials

100% anti UV-ray
laminates.

Original SLASH sail studio photograph

We use only 100% ANTI UV-RAY Laminated. No monofilm.

Anti-UV protection

All our Ply, X-ply and Scrim monofilm are produced in the United States. The less the transparent the monofilm, the more they will last in the sun. Just like our Black, all our new monofilms, are also not transparent, and darker the colour the longer it will shield the material from the UV rays.

Layered sail material

What damages the monofilm is not the heat, but the UV-Rays. These go through the monofilm, cooking the material, with the result that it will become stiffer and brittle. Our monofilm is built in layers with inside the coloured anti UV glue, which blocks completely the UV rays, compared to transparent monofilm.
