THE CURVE THAT WORKS WITH YOU.
When the Point-7 Black Team sets out to design a boom, the first priority is always the curve. This isn’t just a trend; it’s about creating a natural ergonomic position for your arms, allowing both the front and back arms to sit comfortably while sailing.
Ergonomically designed curve—ensures your arms are in the perfect position, no matter the wind conditions
Optimized sail angle—automatically positions the sail for ideal airflow, maximizing performance with every gust
Tailored for wind strength and discipline—each boom size is carefully crafted to handle specific demands of different conditions
This is more than just a shape—it’s precision in every curve, giving you a sail that works with you, not against you.
BUILT FOR COMFORT, PRECISION, AND CONTROL.
Soft, sanded anti-slip pro grip—requiring less hand strength for a firmer grip, no matter the conditions
Double push pin system—ensures a stiff connection between the boom body and tail end for maximum durability
Vario tail end with 50cm range and 2cm easy adjustments—customize your setup to suit your needs
Easy positioning marks for harness lines, making adjustments quick and intuitive
Ergo-shaped curve—delivers a natural, comfortable position on the board, reducing strain and fatigue
Front head tilts for optimal mast fitting, while maintaining perfect mast alignment—no side-to-side movement
Minimal rope tension required—ensuring the head stays locked in place on your mast
Perfect for RDM adaptors, offering seamless integration with your rig setup
From 180cm to 200cm, the boom tail is designed with a pulley system, ensuring perfect adjustable outhaul system compatibility
TA performance tool designed to help you push your limits with comfort and control.

TEST: POINT-7 Alu+ Pro 180–230
The very affordable Point-7 boom ranks in the entry-level freerace segment. The end piece is widened for use with deeper freerace sails, and the triple-pulley fitting is also prepared for trimming systems. However, the trim rope can also be threaded and cleated in the traditional way.
Under load, the boom performs very solidly despite its “only” 32 mm diameter, roughly comparable to something like the NeilPryde Atec 2.9. This means the boom already reaches close to what’s possible in the aluminum segment—especially if you want to keep the grip diameter comfortable, which is achieved here.
The grip surface feels slightly rougher compared to the Point-7 Carbon, but is very non-slip. The head piece (identical in design to the C-Carbon) clamps very stiffly and securely on both RDM (with adapter) and SDM.
