    THE 'POWER SIDE'

    The deepest part of the profile, located on the leeward side. Measured as depth and position. Draft generates the power/lift of the sail. The SALT PRO keeps its profile compact, vanishing in your hands the moment you hit the wave thanks to its on/off Dacron panel. It drives hard and precise through the bottom turn, then instantly neutralizes as you hit the lip: its natural S-shaping making cutbacks easy, powerful, and forgiving. Instant reaction is guaranteed. The widest Dacron point and deepest profile sit just above the boom, creating perfect drive through the bottom turn and a forward, explosive pull in rotation.
    Windward side: flat, low-pressure side.

    THE 'FAST SIDE'

    The overall aerodynamic shape of the sail, seen in cross-section. It includes the windward side (flatter) and the leeward side (curved). When we say “the sail profile”, we mean the general curve the sailcloth and battens create.

    The SALT PRO keeps its draft shallow to be a fast wave sail to have speed to vanish in your hands the moment you hit the wave to jump. Aligned with the opening of the leach and S-shaping. It keeps a wave board over the water to hover over chop and have more control while searching for the ramp. Speed is everything in waves also when it comes to high jumps and radical rotations.

    On the four-batten SALTpro, for our 20th anniversary, 28 refinements have been introduce over three year work to make sure you would have the lightest, cleanest and strongest. From overlaping panels to take out batten pockets, double tripple stitching on full sail and in the 3cm seam joints, to every single detail. Receive the sail, and clearly see all the changes. This to reduce swing weight, clean the structure and make them stronger. The sail reacts faster, becomes more neutral through the cutback and releases more naturally during jumps and rotations. Its S-shaped profile still delivers bottom-turn drive and high-speed control, now with a lighter and more precise feeling.

    RIGGING

    “SALT PRO: Precision Setup for Maximum Performance”

    For wave riding, the leech should fall 15cm from the leech to the first mini batten at the top, ensuring optimal flexibility and control. This requires -3 cm from the maximum downhaul setting. When setting the boom length, adjust the lower ring to the minimum boom setting specified in the specs for perfect balance.

    For bump and jumping, pull the downhaul all the way to 1 cm from the end of the required setting, and use the higher ring with the maximum setting specified in the specs. This ensures the sail is responsive and ready for powerful maneuvers. Tighten the top batten for precise control, but remove wrinkles from the other battens without over-tightening them, ensuring smooth rotation and flexibility.

    The SALT PRO is specifically developed for use with C80 RDM masts, providing unmatched performance and power transfer, tailored for the most demanding conditions.

    Our sails are made from 100% ANTI UV-RAY Laminate. No monofilm.

    All our Ply, X-ply and Scrim monofilm are produced in the Unites States. The less the transparent the monofilm, the more they will last in the sun. The darker the colour the longer it will shield the material from the UV rays. Yes, black is the first best colour against the sun, totally against what some could think of.

    What damages the monofilm is not the heat, but the UV-Rays. These go through the monofilm, cooking the material, with the result that it will become stiffer and brittle. Our monofilm is built in layers with inside the coloured anti UV glue, which blocks completely the UV rays, compared to transparent monofilm.

    LIGHT, STRONG, SMART. A carbon extension needs to offer the right stiffness to match the luff curve of the rig and not just the idea of a lighter product against aluminum. The Point-7 extensions are based on a very simple indestructible system that is quick and simple to use and allows for effortless downhaul. The new pulley and cleat system are attached directly onto the aluminum tubing, with no crossing lines. The pulleys being perfectly in line with the sail pulleys, allows the rope to thread through a simple and logic loop. With the oversized rollers and free rope from the cleat, the downhaul efforts are reduced to the absolute minimum. The extension tubes are made with strong a strong grade carbon and are available in lengths of 28cm/44 cm with adjustment increments for every 2cm.
