During this summer in July, the Italian Championship was not able to take place in Torbole, on Lake Garda. After a full week with no wind, the organizers decided to move the event to Sicily during the month of December.
Therefore, this long weekend, in Marsala, the wind allowed 4 full slalom to be run.
Bruno Martini was able to win with 3 first places on his new AC-One zero17. Other two great results were taken from our Grand Master Marco Begalli who finished in third and by our Junior, Francesco Scagliola, who finished in fifth. Both winning their category title.
It was fun to come to the Italian Championships and enjoyed the warm weather here in Sicily. Winning my first Italian Championship title was an important goal in my career. I’m happy also for my sponsors as I was on the new Zero17 sails and on my new board sponsor.

I’m proud that our Italian Black Team dominated the different categories in the Italian Championship. Bruno, Marco and Francesco did a great job. Happy to see also the first success of the new AC-ONE zero17. I hope everyone will enjoy the new sails as much as we have enjoyed developing them.
