Two riders in top 5!

2 of our Black team riders have entered the top 5 ranking at the IFCA SLALOM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in the Azores. Pascal Toselli 5th and Vincent Langer on the podium in 3rd position. For Point-7 it’s another great start in the season: Confirming the quality of our AC-1 racing sails after the great success at the PWA in 2013 thanks to the result of Alberto Menegatti. Now we are all looking forward for more racing over the next month!

After the cancellation of the PWA Korean I decided to go on the IFCA event which took place at the same time . I was really looking forward to start racing. The Azores are a good warmup before the PWA season. We had some tough conditions with gusty winds (15/25knots) which allowed us to validate a single round. We had to quickly put our focus to have a best result in the first slalom as the forecast was so bad that gave no chance for a second one. Pressure on the water was present as there could be no mistake. I used the AC1 7.9m and 107L Isonic except for the 2nd round, where I chose the AC1 8.6m and 130L Isonic. Was nerve breaking as it was super gusty and the 8.6 was too big, and the 7.9 maybe too small out of the gusts. I finished 5th in the first race of the year, and despite one race only, I was happy with the result . A good warm-up before the first PWA event in Costa Brava , which will be held in two weeks . I feel good about my equipment.
