SDM SONIC REFLEX MAST
HIGH QUALITY WINDSURFING MASTS ARE MAINLY MANUFACTURED IN ITALY. OUR SUPPLIER IS BASED IN ITALY AND PRODUCES IN ITALY.
Thanks to update of new machineries, we were able to work out a new finish from our masts and introduce new technology in the constructions. We revised the sizes and models to upgrade carbon %. These K SDM-S series are designed to work with fin sails. They can be used also for foiling, but for this we have developed the F100 line to boost up the sail foil performance.

Most of the masts might look the same, but often produced by different manufactures with different machinery, materials, climates, and technology, Even if the curve or Imcs numbers might be the same, the performance outcome once down hauled in a sail, will be different. Being the backbone of your windsurfing sail, it makes a very important accessory for the rig. The same as having a suit tailor made. A large 9m slalom sails have different qualities and performance characteristics from a 5m slalom sail which is used in strong wind. The curve and stiffness of the mast needs to be developed accordingly. Most of the masts on the market are constant curve, but this is only a general term to explain the characteristics. What is important is the curve percentages values of the bottom and top sections of the mast, including materials, shapes, and reflex. These are values which are very different in each sail brand, and often kept secret. Therefore, the best efficiency is reached by having an integrated rig.

THE NEW K’S GENERATION
SDM-S: STANDARD DIAMETER-SONIC
We added the ‘S’ for sonic to our SDM masts as on the top of the mast, there is a new construction which increases the reflex on the winglet area of the sail, giving more control and stability to the sail. The mast are available in the names of K100, K93 and K77, to cover 3 carbon % gradients. You will discover more about them in the dedicated sections.

MAST 100% CARBON
K100 CARBON MAST: The best possible performance for your sail. Great pumping response, acceleration, light feel and absorption of the hardest conditions for optimal comfort and control. ‘S’ for sonic reflex. An incremented layer of carbon on the tip of the mast has been added. This will boost up the reflex on the top part of the sail. Main structure consists of 3 layers of carbon material. 2 unidirectional glass reinforcement sections are added to the mast to make sure that even in harsh conditions the mast is protected against breakages. As the gusts hits the sail, the mast will help convert this power into speed and keep the sail lighter whilst maintaining full control.
WHY THIS MAST: No compromise in its performance. Racing, best reflex and light weight. If you choose this mast, it’s because you want to dominate. Some extra care is needed as the mast only has a minimal protection, giving the carbon the best performance possible.

K93 CARBON MAST:The high carbon content and quality of this mast will ensure durability and a good reflex that will lighten the feeling of any rig. The best compromise between performance and durability. ‘S’ for sonic reflex. An incremented layer of carbon on the tip of the mast has been added. This will boost up the reflex on the top part of the sail. The performance against the K100 is very minimal and can only be measured with a clock, it will not be felt. Using the same high-performance construction ensures this mast superior performance in comparison with others in its class. Consists of 3 carbon layers and 1 layer of glass.
WHY THIS MAST: Best compromise between price, performance, and durability. Racing without any type of stress or worries. An extra catapult, an extra crash, long time rigged, this mast will not suffer.

K77 CARBON MAST: The mast will ADAPTS TO ANY CURVE of ANY SAIL BRAND. This is thanks to the way and development done to displace the layers to release comfort and controll in small sail sizes, and power and a breathing feeling for bigger size, not matter which sail.A very price-focused mast that can be used with any sail brand. The K77 offers good performance and enjoyment from any sail used with it. ‘S’ for sonic reflex. An incremented layer of carbon on the tip of the mast has been added. This will boost up the reflex on the top part of the sail. Save a bit of cash, and have a MADE IN ITALY mast where the focus is offering SAFETY & PERFORMANCE.
WHY THIS MAST: A 77% carbon content with the same high carbon quality as the more expensive masts and produced to the exact Point-7 quality standards. A better choice against even a hIgher % carbon mast from a no name brand in terms of performance and safety.
