PDRN
IT'S TARGET
This is the sail for riders who want to lead, attack and control every moment on the foil. Whether you are chasing world-class results or crushing your local fleet, the F1 delivers raw speed, explosive acceleration and locked-in stability that keep you in front. Q Bond elevates the sail’s reactivity and durability, giving a tighter, more precise feel in every gust.
And while its performance is aggressive, the handling stays incredibly accessible, giving any ambitious rider the chance to unleash full foil power with total confidence.
If your goal is to win, dominate or simply blast faster than ever before, the F1 is built for you.
THE 'POWER SIDE'
The F1 features a shallow, wide mast sleeve that forms a light yet constant profile. Three custom-designed cams lock in a fast, efficient entry that gradually flattens toward the back of the sail. The result is maximum stability at high speed without creating drag once fully flying on the foil. The draft is positioned exactly where the rider stands, driving power directly into both arms with perfect balance, eliminating unwanted back hand load as the wind increases.

THE 'FAST SIDE'
The F1 keeps its draft flatter and lighter than a typical fin sail, creating an ultra-clean surface that removes drag and feeds continuous apparent wind. Speed and acceleration become instinctive, smooth and explosive at the same time, while the sail feels weightless in your hands. What remains is pure lift, effortless glide and a constant forward drive that lets the foil do its magic.

The sizes have been specifically developed to meet the new 2026–27 PWA foil racing rules, which limit riders to a maximum of 3 sails and 2 front wings. The F1 range is engineered to cover all required wind conditions with maximum efficiency, giving racers the perfect quiver to stay competitive under the new format.

The new F1 brings a completely re-engineered construction to dominate modern foil racing. Every detail has been redesigned for more speed, more stability and more direct power. Here’s what sets the 2026 F1 apart:
• Q-Bond construction on battens 1, 6 and 7 for an extreme winglet effect and unmatched stability
• New overlap panel assembly reducing stitches and unnecessary materials for cleaner reflex and more power
• No stitched visibility window thanks to smart materials and advanced panel design
• Ultra-bonded mini battens for a cleaner, smoother, more efficient profile
• New anti-stretch, screwed-on batten tensioners delivering a razor-clean surface and long-term stability
• Redesigned batten construction for a lighter, smoother, more direct profile
• One-piece mast sleeve for maximum reflex and direct energy transfer
• Narrower, reshaped mast sleeve for faster jibes, lighter acceleration and increased balance
• New batten angle optimized for light-wind flight and reduced downforce
• New cut-out for a shorter boom to improve sail rotation in jibes, boost acceleration and release without sacrificing power
• Overall lighter and more direct feel for pure foil racing efficiency
It’s a winner just from looking at it. The smooth, constant front profile with its wide sleeve makes it clear that this sail is built to slice through the wind with zero compromise. The batten layout flattens the exit of the profile, deleting any back hand pressure when powered up. Seven battens and three cams remain a true Point-7 racing trademark, combined with a high aspect outline that delivers a shorter boom, a long luff, and pure foil efficiency. The base is cut low for a perfect close-the-gap stance, yet kept compact enough to stay fast and reactive in jibes.
With Q-Bond assembly, overlap batten construction, and a completely new batten design, the F1 looks and feels cleaner, lighter and more advanced than anything seen in windsurfing before. The new no-stretch batten tensioners, screwed directly to the sail, together with ultra-bonded minibattens, create a razor-clean surface and unmatched efficiency that redefine what a racing sail can be. A pure game changer from every angle.

From the moment you leave the beach, the F1 feels incredibly light in your hands. Push the throttle and suddenly the only thing you feel is the foil on the water, as the sail practically disappears. That is true foil efficiency. The F1 lets you focus entirely on foil pressure and enjoy insane top speeds without fighting for control or dealing with annoying backhand load.
The 3-cam system delivers a smooth, effortless rotation, keeping the power locked in without disrupting the ride. The wind range is huge and perfectly aligned with the latest PWA rules, giving racers the stability, control and confidence needed to dominate every course.
Designed to deliver the latest performance needed to stay competitive and win the most important racing tours. The 8.5, 8.0, 6.9 and 5.8 are the dedicated slalom foil sizes, created to match the demands of the PWA and Defi Wind, where foiling now runs on full racing courses in true foil conditions.
Development didn’t stop at straight-line speed. Every size has been tested to ensure the best comfort while foiling at high pace. Comfort on the straight line, power when you need it, and absolute stability to keep the foil flying smoothly. The F1 lets you focus on the race, not on handling the sail—pure control, pure stability, pure winning potential.
The F1 must be rigged with the mast inserted on top of the cams. Once the mast is in place, pull the downhaul to about 15 cm before the final setting. From here you have two options:
• attach the boom first and then pop on the cams before finishing the downhaul
• or place the cams using the correct technique, pull to full downhaul, and then mount the boom
Detailed rigging instructions and videos are available in the support section of our website.
Once on the water and flying, set the outhaul with full tension for maximum efficiency. Tighten the battens only enough for them to follow the natural profile of the sail. Do not overtighten—battens 4 and 5 require almost no tension at all.
