Point-7 on Fire in Fuerteventura – Slalom X 2025 Results
The winds of Sotavento delivered once again, and so did the Black Team.
At the PWA World Tour Slalom X event in Fuerteventura 2025, our riders Taty Frans and Amado Vrieswijk stunned the field with an epic performance, finishing 5th and 7th respectively – proudly flying the flag of Point-7’s AC-1 LTD sails.

FRANEK POL200 ‘ The level is very high. I’m was busy with studying this year, and I need to make more experience around the course. I still enjoyed it a lot! Love fin racing!

AMADO NB20 ‘STARTS!, I’m sure if I can tune a little bit more pointing speed into my gears and the speed i have i can push the starts more and from there can fight for wins!’

TATY NB9 ‘It has been a great battle. Yes it has been difficult, hard and fun! I cant wait to do it again. The craziest conditions I ever raced, but this is true windsurfing to make our sport shine. I used the freerace sail AC-1 5.4, in the windy days and I loved it!

ANDREA ITA1 ‘ I enjoyed being at the top position in some heats to prove my speed, but still had to find the sweet trim on my new boards in the heavy chop, and I missed not having trained enough cardio this year. I love my homeworks for next events!
Jibes & Jumps Dialed to Perfection The Slalom X format, with its mix of high-speed racing, close-quarters jibes, and radical jumps, demanded the very best from both rider and gear. Taty and Amado showed the world exactly what happens when years of skill meet world-class equipment. Their confidence carving through the corners and smooth execution over the ramps highlighted just how much precision and control the AC-1 LTD delivers under pressure.

Sail Development Meets World-Class Performance What makes this result even more special? The continued development of the AC-1 LTD has been driven not just by lab testing or theory, but by real racing, with input straight from the athletes who use them. These top 10 results in one of sport’s most challenging events are a direct reflection of the evolution of our sails: faster, lighter, and more responsive than ever before.

Andrea Cucchi on the Starting Line: Adding to the spirit of the event, Point-7 founder, and sail designer Andrea Cucchi suited up and took to the water himself. His presence wasn’t just symbolic – it was a statement. Andrea’s hands-on approach, testing and racing alongside the team, ensures that every innovation is grounded in real-world performance. It’s rare to see a brand owner pushing on the start line with the world’s best, but at Point-7, that’s just how we do it.

Black Team Charging Ahead With two riders in the top 10, and the unmistakable black sails leading through the chaos of Fuerte’s gusts and ramps, Point-7 is proving once again why we are a force to be reckoned with in the Slalom X world.
Congratulations to Taty and Amado and a big shoutout to everyone supporting the Black Team around the globe.
