Which is the year when your shop became a Point-7 dealer? We are probably one of the youngest Point-7 shops – we started our Surfshop in 2021 and our collaboration with Point-7 started one year later in early 2022. It was an amazing journey so far!
What are the 2 Point-7 ‘Unique Selling Points’ for the shop? The two key points for Point-7 are the in comparison to other brands lower retail price and the full dedication towards free racing. If someone wants the fastest free race sail, our advice is clear, the person needs to get a Point-7 sail.
What are the two best reactions or quotes about Point-7 you got from customers? Well, one customer told us his old mast base broke, and he lost his Point-7 rigg. He very strongly believed it was because of the lightning-fast speed he reached. So, he went ahead and bought the same rigg again, this time with a new mast base, to get used to the insane speeds! It made us laugh for sure.
Another customer could not believe that the AC-Z, now called AC-2, was faster than the slalom sails he usually used. We do not want to say the name of the brand he came from, but let’s just say, he now sails on black sails and is faster than ever, with just two cambers.
What is your personal favorite Point-7 sail? We do not have a favorite Point-7 sail, but for sure we like the flatwater free race sails the most. Each of them has a dedicated purpose, which makes them all amazing.
What is the best-selling Point-7 product in your shop? Our best-selling Point-7 products are the AC-0 and the K83 430cm mast. This combo is extremely fun to play with!
What do you think is important to keep the Point-7 customers loyal Point-7 customers? Yes, it is important for us to keep our Point-7 customers loyal. But with all fairness, that is not exceedingly difficult to do. Point-7 is such a unique brand that there are not many alternatives. Combine that with our remarkably close customer relationships, our firsthand service and then having somebody like Andrea Cucchi developing new toys every year… the loyalty comes along very naturally.
What do you think about the Point-7 customer service? The Point-7 customer service is surely one of the best in the windsurfing industry. We at Wind Lounge are always emphasizing that. Since our co founder Mario Kümpel uses all the sails himself day by day, we can add a lot of value to the service also from the shop side.
What is your opinion about the Point-7 2025 collection? Well, the new collection looks amazing and is the perfect successor for the 2024 range. We did not see fundamental changes, but the revolutionary 2024 range got fine tuned even more, so we are super stocked to keep the ball rolling!
What would you add to the Point-7 collection for 2026? We do not think it is necessary to add much to the Point-7 collection. More apparel surely would be nice. But we prefer to focus on a smaller range, therefore improving quantities and development and keeping the lower prices.
What would you like Point-7 to highlight on their socials in the next months? Point-7 does a particularly good social media job. If Andrea could keep the YouTube videos coming, that would be perfect. We see a lot of value in getting a closer look at his day-to-day life and all the effort he puts into the development!
