As it’s taking the development directly from the AC-1 PRO RACING model, improving this sail is the translation to what has been developed to improve the AC-1. The 8.5 will make sure that you will not need a bigger size for slalom sailing. The new power in light wind of the sail will increase the average speed on the course as in light wind is simply better, maintaining the qualities that we all have experienced in these years. 7.8 has followed the same development of the 8.8, but the feeling of this new 7.8 is the control in the gusts that it will give to the board. The sail has become even easier as the wind builds up and will keep power in light wind. 7.1 is now a 7.0. For 2022 we had lingered the boom as the power was too close to the 6.2 in the past, and that was already one step forward. By reworking the profile, the leach, and the outline, we have produced the best 7.1 AC-K ever in Point-7. Acceleration better, speed better, comfort better…you name it, and it will just be better. 200m on it and you will not go back to the older model, which was already a great sail. 6.0, 5,4 and 4.9 are the new smaller sizes from the AC-K. The same boom length but a total new outline from the top of the leach. A much tighter leach due to the smaller head is the new AC-K. A faster outline which makes the sail much more stable and firmer when dropping downwind at full throttle. A faster speed in light winds due to its tighter leach. Just 20% less effort needed when sailing in tough conditions.

It’s not about freeriding, it’s nothing less than pure acceleration, speed, and control. This is what is experienced as soon as you close the gap of the AC-K PRO . The power is balanced between both arms and the sail keeps accelerating without having to pull or work with your arms. Just relax them and let your body weight sit comfortable on the balanced profile from the sail. The light feels and easy rotation of the sail, will let you enjoy and execute perfect fast jibing without having to lose energy and power. As the wind picks up the sail becomes lighter, more fun and will not demand to switch to a smaller sail so easily. The center of effort is low, focused on the rider and providing feedback through both hands. It is just so balanced and requires little technical input or energy expenditure from the pilot, enabling them to prolong their drag-racing sessions.

Creating a race sail which would allow the rider to save more energy and spend more hours on the water. A full race sail has power which is only needed by heavy PWA riders to accelerate with loads of drive out of a jibe, or for full downwind courses, which are trajectories that are done only on some radical race PWA courses. The AC-K pro is a pure race sail to have fun, without going on too depowered simple 3 or 2 cam sails for free-racing.
The AC-K PRO needs to have the mast inserted on top of the cams. After pulling downhaul to 15cm of its final setting you can either put on the boom, and later slide in the cams before putting the final downhaul on, or place the cams on with the right technique, pulling on the full downhaul, and later putting the boom on. You will find more instructions and video on the support section on our website. Playing with the outhaul will boost up power or increase control. Tighten the lower 2 battens and the top batten, but just remove wrinkles on the other battens, without overtightening them.
