Sylt, a tough place to race. Big choppy and rolling swell in already light wind conditions. This is the spot where Vincent Langer and Lena Erdil from the Point-7 Black Team, both managed to win the IFCA Slalom Championship 2015. 2 World Champion in the same event is a great result for Point-7.
Here a quick interview from Vincent Langer.
How do you feel after your first Slalom World Championship Title?
For me it is still unbelivable. I never expected this. I went to Sylt and wanted to make a good result. Right now I am just so happy. Life is great!
How did you prepare for this event?
I was training a lot with friends over the winter in the Canaries. From May till now I had more or less non stop events. Especially for Sylt I went for 5 days with my training partner to a very choppy place. We put marks is the water a train hard. Itpaid off.
What was the greatest Moment in this event?
It was, when I won the first final and for the sure prize giving.
What was the worse moment?
There were many. We were waiting the last two days for racing. The wind was on the edge and I felt a lot of pressure. One race more and everything could have changed. I could not sleep, was nervous….that was definitely not nice!
Right after Sylt you had your own Kids Event. Did you celebrate your title?
Right now I was too busy. Right after Sylt we were preparing my camp with 30 Kids. The camp took place one week. We are just finish and tomorrow starts my next event. I will find some time next week!!! I have to 😉
