Formula Sails 2k13

AC-1 Formula Windsurfing 2K13 development: Built in Italy.

Andrea Cucchi ‘Personally I love formula windsurfing. Formula was big at the time I was at the top of the worlds rankings. Still now even if I’m not sailing everyday on the Formula board, it’s just amazing how everything comes back in few minutes. Feeling the same motivation and challenge as those times, where all the pros were on Formula Boards battling each meter upwind. The feeling of how the board planes over the water is great. This feeling will keep this discipline alive! Could be that thecome back is around the corner. In some countries it never died, but in others it had slowed down due to the slalom hype. We believe in it, we love it and we will push for it full time. ‘

Torviscas, Tenerife

If the superforecast of windguru is the correct one for El Medano, it’s also working for other more unsual windsurfing spots in Tenerife. If it happens that you have a week holiday in Tenerife, and windguru gives no wind at El Medano, take a look at the spot of Las Americas. If it gives only 10knots of North West, you can already start adding on 5 knots to that. So don’t give up the idea that there is no wind, it could be on the otherside.

The Power Joint Neck!

The power joint neck!  AUT-3!

Wolfi Seidel has entered our family last year. He comes from the Austrian Alps, but still prefers to feel water under his feet rather then the frozen one from his mountains.  He loves to race slalom and took part at many international master events and national events. Unfortunatelly his spinal bones at the neck started getting problems, and had to go for surgery in a very delicate place.  After the operation he is back on his board.

Who needs footstraps?

In the 90’s, there was a youg wave sailor from Belgium who drove down to the Canaries, and never drove back. He took part at some of the PWA events, and he was one of the most radical on tour, who was scoring big air radical jumps! By pushing the limits of the gear, he ended up destroying his knees, feet and ankles to go bigger then the others due to some hard landings.

Why Girls Should Windsurf

Lot’s of girls are windsurfing or at least tried at one point in their life; many of them have started because their father, brother or boyfriend/husband were active windsurfers themselves. I also ended up more then one time with a sail and a board in my hands over my teenage time, but never understood why it actually took time before I really got into it and understanding what wonderful sport this is.
