The season is hot!

The passed week was putting the riders in  having the embarrassment to decide to which event to take part in.
The first edition of the Defi Wind in Japan in one of the paradise southern islands?
The Ifca Slalom worlds in the small island of Texel in the Dutch north sea?
Or enjoying the Italian dolce vita by taking part at the One hour Classic on Lake Garda?

All important and fun events for the Blackteam to chose from!

Team captain had let the team decide to each member what they would have preferred.

The young French team with Basile Jacquin and Nicolas Goyard left to the small island of Texel. Basile not only being sixth overall, but also winning the youth discipline! Nicolas assuring a second POINT-7 sail in the top 10 ranking. Well done!
The ONE HOUR CLASSIC holds the record of 18 sides of the lake in one hour of racing. This record belongs to our World Champion Matteo Iachino. In this edition, our P7 Blackteam Bruno Martini, not believing for the wind to pick up that strong on his home spot, raced on the 9.2 while the rest of the fleet was on a smaller size. Bruno had to use his strong muscles to race for fully overpowered, but still  manged to close in third. Our Point-7 office manager Francesco Prati, made it in tenth place. The youth was won by our rider Davide “Sviluppina” Meloni. Congratulations!
At Defi Wind Japan Matteo Iachino and Andrea Cucchi flew all the way to the windy Island of Miyako,  to join the other Black team riders: Fujiko Onishi and Goshi Akinori. The wind was strong and amazing before and after the event, but only a fun race was run during the weekend due to heavy rain. Not lucky! Next year the event will be called Defi Wind Asia, and will be during January or February. A great chance to break the European in 2, as the temperatures are warm. It’s far, but easy to find cheap tickets and stay to have another great adventure to tell.

The summer is at the beginning , and we wish our POINT-7 Black Team to keep travelling around the globe, competing, winning, obtaining podium results and spreading the windsurfing lifestyle. Nothing healthier and more cool on the planet!
